The short begins with an older cartoonist sitting at his desk drawing a caricature of Tom and Jerry, mocking them for their old age. Jerry walks into his house to see his son about to start college. He gives him a box of his old memorabilia, and the son runs off. At this point, Tom is shown walking down the street towards Jerry's house where he explains his plan to chase Jerry around the house until he dies of old age. He breaks into the house by shoving Jerry out of the way, and begins running around the house after Jerry, who stops to acknowledge his now elderly appearance in a mirror. When Tom catches up with him, he sees that Jerry has aged much more quickly than himself. Jasper is looking for something to do since all his friends are cat lovers. He decides to go fishing but has no luck because there are no fish in the pool outside his house. He tries to catch Jerry with his slingshot but misses. This gives Tom the idea to capture Jerry with a fishing pole. He changes the lures on the pole so that Jerry will think he is hooked up to a hook, but actually gets caught. Tom starts reeling him in using the fishing rod, but is too late as Jerry sinks down into the pool of water. Tom is sick of being chased all over the house by Jerry who always changes places every time he goes into another room. He decides that he needs an invisibility potion so that his cat life will be free from constant harassment by all that are out there world-wide known as humans. 8eeb4e9f32 44
